Sick GTB6-P4231 : Background suppression

The Sick GTB6-P4231 Photoelectric Sensor (Part No. 1079712) is a high-performance photoelectric proximity sensor with background suppression for precise detection. It features a maximum sensing range of 5 mm to 400 mm and operates optimally within 50 mm to 220 mm. Utilizing a PinPoint LED light source with a wavelength of 625 nm, it provides a focused light spot of 6 mm at 100 mm, ensuring accurate detection.

The Sick GTB6-P4231 Photoelectric Sensor allows easy adjustment via a mechanical spindle with five turns and supports light/dark switching modes, selectable through a mode selector. It operates on a supply voltage of 10 to 30 V DC with a low current consumption of 32 mA. With a PNP switching output, it offers a maximum output current of 100 mA, a response time of less than 1.25 ms, and a switching frequency of 500 Hz.

Its robust rectangular housing, made from ABS/PC plastic, and PMMA front screen ensure durability. The sensor is rated IP67 for protection against dust and water, making it suitable for harsh environments. Compact dimensions (12 mm x 31.5 mm x 21 mm) and an M8 4-pin male connector enhance its versatility. It operates efficiently in temperatures from -25C to +55C, with storage capabilities ranging from -40C to +70C.
