Panasonic EX-13A Photoelectric Sensor

The Panasonic EX-13A Photoelectric Sensor uses an NPN open-collector transistor output. It has a maximum sink current of 50 mA and an applied voltage of 30 V DC or less. The residual voltage is 2 V or less at 50 mA sink current. It is 1 V or less at 16 mA sink current. It includes short-circuit protection and meets Utilization Category DC-12 or DC-13 standards. The sensor has a fast response time of 0.5 ms or less. It features an orange LED for operation indication and a green LED for stability indication in stable light or dark conditions. It suits industrial environments with a pollution degree of 3 and meets an IP67 (IEC) protection rating.

The EX-13A can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -25 to +55 (-13 to +131 ) without dew condensation or icing, and can be stored in temperatures from -30 to +70 (-22 to +158 ). It can handle ambient humidity levels of 35 to 85% RH. The sensor withstands incandescent light up to 3,000 lx at the light-receiving face and offers high vibration and shock resistance. The enclosure is made of polyethylene terephthalate, with a polyalylate lens. The device includes a 0.1 mm 3-core (emitter: 2-core) cabtyre cable, 2 m (6.562 ft) long, extendable up to 50 m (164 ft) with a 0.3 mm or larger cable.
