The Panasonic EX-14A-PN Photoelectric Sensor (EX14APN, UEX14APN) offers precise sensing capabilities with a range of 2 to 25 mm. The sensor features a sensing range of 2 to 25 mm (0.079 to 0.984 in) with a conventional point at 10 mm (0.394 in), and it is designed to detect objects as small as 0.1 mm (0.004 in) copper wire. Hysteresis is 15% or less of the operation distance, and repeatability is 0.1 mm (0.004 in) or less, specified for white non-glossy paper (50 50 mm 1.969 1.969 in).
Operating on a 12 to 24 V DC supply voltage with a current consumption of 13 mA or less, the Panasonic EX-14A-PN Photoelectric Sensor is efficient. It includes a PNP open-collector transistor output with a maximum source current of 50 mA and short-circuit protection. It meets Utilization Category DC-12 or DC-13 standards. With a response time of 0.5 ms or less, it features an orange LED for operation and a green LED for stability.
The device carries an IP67 rating and functions within ambient temperatures ranging from -25 to +55 (-13 to +131 ), while its storage temperatures range from -30 to +70 (-22 to +158 ).
Durable materials construct the Panasonic EX-14A-PN Photoelectric Sensor. These include a polyethylene terephthalate enclosure and a polyalylate lens. It comes with a 2-meter (6.562 ft) cabtyre cable. This cable can be extended up to 50 meters (164.042 ft) with a 0.3 mm² or larger cable. However, for safety applications, it should not exceed 30 meters (98.425 ft).
The net weight is approximately 20 g, and the gross weight is about 40 g. It includes mounting screws and an adjusting screwdriver. The sensor is UL certified and manufactured in China.
