The Panasonic NA2-N12 Area Sensor, identified by part number UNA2N12, NA2N12 adheres to the CE Marking Directive. This ensures compliance with EMC and RoHS standards. With a sensing height of 220 mm, it reliably detects objects. Its range spans 5 meters, making it suitable for various applications. It excels in detecting objects, especially those with a diameter of 30 mm or more.

Operating with a supply voltage ranging from 12 to 24 V DC, the sensor consumes power efficiently, with the emitter consuming 0.8 W or less when the job indicator is on, and 0.7 W or less when its off. Similarly, the receiver consumes the same amount of power depending on the job indicator status.

Featuring an NPN open-collector transistor for output, the Panasonic NA2-N12 Area Sensor can handle a maximum sink current of 100 mA and an applied voltage of 30 V DC or less. The output operation is configured to be ON when all beam channels are received and OFF when one or more beam channels are interrupted, with short-circuit protection incorporated for added safety.
