The Panasonic PM-F45 Photoelectric Sensor complies with EMC and RoHS Directives, offering a fixed sensing range of 6 mm (0.236 in) and detecting objects as small as 0.8 x 1.2 mm (0.031 x 0.047 in). It features minimal hysteresis of 0.05 mm (0.002 in) or less and high repeatability of 0.01 mm (0.0004 in) or less. The sensor operates on a supply voltage of 5 to 24 V DC with a current consumption of 15 mA or less.
The output is an NPN open-collector transistor with a maximum sink current of 50 mA and a residual voltage of 2 V or less at 50 mA sink current. It includes both Light-ON and Dark-ON output operations, along with built-in short-circuit protection. The sensors response time is rapid, with a maximum of 20 s under light received conditions and 80 s under light interrupted conditions. It achieves a maximum response frequency of 3 kHz.
Built to withstand industrial environments, the Panasonic PM-F45 Photoelectric Sensor boasts an IP64 protection rating. It can endure temperatures ranging from -25 to +55C (-13 to +131F) and humidity levels of 5 to 85% RH.
It can handle vibration frequencies from 10 to 2,000 Hz and shock accelerations up to 15,000 m/s² (1,500 G). Constructed with a PBT enclosure and a polycarbonate display section, the sensor ensures durability and reliability. It comes with a 0.09-mm² 4-core cabtyre cable, extendable up to 100 m (328.084 ft), providing flexibility in installation.
