The Panasonic PM-U25-P U-shaped Micro Photoelectric Sensor complies with CE Marking Directives, including the EMC and RoHS Directives. It features a fixed sensing range of 6 mm (0.236 in) and can detect small opaque objects as tiny as 0.8 1.2 mm (0.031 0.047 in). The sensor maintains high precision with a hysteresis of 0.05 mm (0.002 in) or less and a repeatability of 0.01 mm (0.0004 in) or less.
The Panasonic PM-U25-P U-shaped Micro Photoelectric Sensor operates with a supply voltage of 5 to 24 V DC ±10 %, consuming 15 mA or less. It uses a PNP open-collector transistor output with a maximum source current of 50 mA. The sensor includes two output modes (Light-ON / Dark-ON) and incorporates short-circuit protection. It has a response time of 20 s or less under light conditions and 80 s or less under interrupted light conditions, with a maximum response frequency of 3 kHz. An orange LED indicates operation under light received conditions.
Designed for industrial use, the sensor has an IP64 protection rating and can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -25 to +55 (-13 to +131 ) and humidity levels of 5 to 85 % RH. It withstands vibrations from 10 to 2,000 Hz and shocks up to 15,000 m/s². The sensors enclosure is made of PBT, and the display section is polycarbonate. It comes with a 1 m (3.281 ft) 0.09-mm² 4-core cabtyre cable, extendable up to 100 m (328.084 ft). The net weight is approximately 10 g, and it is manufactured in China.
